Place a small ruler or straight edge against the
rear of the shock tower.
With an ink pen or marker, mark a line on the inner fender as
shown.
Step 4
Place the template parallel to the inner fender edge, align the V-notch with the line mark and center punch the hole centers.
Step 5
Drill two holes with the supplied 3/16" drill bit.
Step 6
Rivet the bottom bracket to the inner fender as shown.
You may temporarily attach
the bottom bracket using the supplied sheet metal screws.
DO NOT use the screws as a permanent attachment.
If you do not have access to a riveter an automotive glass shop or auto-body
shop should be able to rivet the brackets for you.
Repeat steps 1 though 6 for the LH side.
Step 7
Snap the large end of one strut onto the bottom bracket then insert the retainer into the strut end.
Lower the hood prop rod and have an assistant hold the hood open.
Snap the small end of the strut onto the top bracket then insert the retainer into the strut end.
Repeat step 7 for the LH side.
Slowly close the hood, it should move freely without binding.
